The Station Project is a seven-story tall modern apartment building proposed to be set in downtown Gettysburg. It would be perfectly appropriate in a big city, or somewhere along the Beltway.
Nonprofit need donations
Save Historic Gettysburg Inc. is a group of Gettysburg Borough citizens and taxpayers who came together from their audience participation at Council, Board and Commission meetings.
Council conduct
Every Gettysburg Borough Council meeting is governed by a code of conduct. These standards require that the public and members of Borough Council at all times demonstrate mutual respect and decorum.
Says project ‘bad news’
The time has come. Let us put an end to this ill-planned and ill-conceived aberration on the historic and human landscape of Gettysburg.
Financial Implications of the Gettysburg Station Project
The developer of the Station Project has submitted a Land Development Plan which is undergoing a lengthy and detailed review by the Planning Commission and other Borough authorities.
HARB shall, or should, or not
From someone who spent most of his life watching the continually decaying economy of Pennsylvania’s rural northern tier, it is imperative today that any small town fortunate enough to have a truly unique calling card nurture and protect that advantage jealously.
What happened to HARB?
The long-awaited drawings for the Gettysburg Station project were unveiled at the July 17th HARB meeting. The developer’s architect presented modern style buildings appropriate for a suburban office park, and did not even attempt to use elements of design reflecting the historic look of Gettysburg.
Claims project not right
We have been told several times by the HARB Chairman that HARB has worked on this plan for a year and a half when in fact the developer presented his concept plan just two times, July and September, prior to the vote in November.
Ride past blight
The ribbon was cut late Thursday afternoon for the Gettysburg Transit Center, a $1.1 million bus
depot local officials are touting as something that will help connect tourists from the Gettysburg
Museum and Visitor Center to downtown Gettysburg.
